I got a lot of good questions about Dragon’s future on another thread, and I suspect the answers will be of interest to lots of people. To prevent this info from getting buried where it'll be hard to find.
From now to the end of the year we’re focused on improving community management and interactions, rolling the game back to a stable version, and resuming the transition from an open world game to a map-and-zone game (once we get a dedicated programmer on board). We’ll take care to address the transition in a way that doesn’t leave players stranded in an unplayable beta again.
Now, I suspect the completion timelines of only a year or two are going to raise some eyebrows given how long it’s been since Dragon’s inception. The bulk of the delay has been due to a lack of steady programmers. We’ve had unsteady programmers, then expensive programmers, then Grant. Having one or more people who can give the code the daily attention it deserves will make all the difference.
